Spanish colonial island prison.

Item ID: 4025

The Spaniards established a prison on an island in the 16th century, which consisted of a wharf, quarters for the warden and a few guards. As with Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay, one could swim away, but there was nowhere to go. Unlike San Francisco Bay, the local rivers have crocodiles.
